Review:

Together, “Medicine At A Glance” and “Surgery At A Glance” could pretty much cover all you need to know at medical school and certainly give you a good information base to use for finals revision. While I’d still recommend a proper surgery book for your time at med school, this book would be a good investment.

As you look through this book, it is immediately clear that it is not quite the polished product that “Medicine At A Glance” has become but the information is still there. The chapters of this book are anything but verbose, only about a third of the book is text, and what text there is has been printed in bullet point format, making them quick and easy to flick through. You could easily read through one of the subjects in a quarter of an hour.

In summary, this is a very good textbook; certainly worth considering. I wouldn’t say it’s an essential title for the bookshelf but I’ve got a copy on mine!
