Review:

There are some subjects that you need a text for and some where you can get by without buying one. Unfortunately, you are going to need one for obstetrics and gynaecology, especially the male students (because you probably won’t get to see anything on your placements).

Clinical Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the biggest of the “All you need to know about…” books on this subject and in this case at least, bigger does mean better. This text comprehensively covers all of the themes on the syllabus at present (something many of its rivals fail to do) as well as providing you with more in-depth information in case you need to show off.

The book itself is well written and the illustrations that accompany the text are clear and easily understood. Furthermore, this book is written by one of the professors at Leeds so you’ll even get brownie points if he sees it ever so subtly protruding from your bag.
