The Progestogen-Only Pill (POP):

This is a hormonal contraceptive.
The progestogen-only pill contains progestogen (a hormone).
These hormones make the cervix mucus too thick for the sperm to swim through, thin the lining of the womb so an egg can't implant and may stop ovulation.
The progestogen-only pill can prevent pregnancy but NOT STIs

Advantages:
Few serious side effects
Can be used by smokers over 35 and those who can't have oestrogen
Reversible infertility
