Bacterial Vaginosis (BV):

If you think you have bacterial vaginosis, it is very important to get a doctor or nurse to look at it

The doctor or nurse will use a swab to get some cells to test (this is not normally painful) and may want to test your urine

If you do have bacterial vaginosis, it can be treated with antibiotics (given as tablets or a cream)

It is important to tell the doctor about any other medications that you are taking (including the pill) and if there is a chance that you might be pregnant
